Joan will never remember us, but my wife and I will always remember her. We were traveling through London on a beautiful July day when we stumbled upon Gordon’s; no rain in July that day. Anyhow, after stumbling down a flight of stairs we were greeted by a wonderfully youthful woman named Joan. And upon her greeting we heard her story and the story of Gordon’s. Since that day, my wife and I make Gordon’s a must stop every time we pass through London. The Ploughman’s lunch, with a tasty bottle of wine, and Joan’s tales make the trip beyond everything we had ever thought. We have not been back for a number of years, but we will be to Gordons’ this September. Looking forward to a tasty afternoon.
