For 125 years Gordon’s Wine Bar has been pouring great wines and ports and serving it’s famous home made pork pies and food along with traditional cheeses and crusty French bread. We are now going to celebrate our 125th birthday!
For the next three months on the first day of each month we shall hold a special event. We will feature a special selection of wine and for those that really want to keep in with the Gordon’s tradition they can opt for trying one of our many fortified wines straight from the barrels. We will have special surprises on the day too. OK, a little sneak peak: Live Jazz in the York Gate monument on Watergate Walk and Champagne cocktails flowing along the terrace. We will reveal details closer to the time on our website and our social media, so make sure to keep checking. Right now just get your diaries out and block out the 1st of May, June and July!
With this glorious weather we’re also very excited about the return of our Wine Tasting Lunches on the terrace. Our next one is coming soon, on the 23rd of April. As it coincides with St George’s Day we have a very special English sparkling wine on the menu. It promises to be an unmissable event so get booking! For those of you that are regulars to our wine tastings this May we will be bringing forward the lunch to May the 14th so as not to clash with the London Wine Festival.
On another note entirely and celebrating our modest 5th anniversary, some of you may know that I set up Facewatch to fight pick pocketing and petty crime in Villiers St. This idea has grown and is now helping businesses across the UK to reduce crime. If you would like to support us at Facewatch and help us in our goal to reduce crime globally whilst at the same time getting a share in a business that will potentially be hugely successful please click here to find out more.
As always we are very appreciative of your continued support and know that we wouldn’t be able to be here celebrating our 125th birthday without you.
